Had a quick look in Google, there's not much on Borg & Beck shocks maybe due to Delphi having gone bancrupt in 2005. I found one Polish site which associates part number D2252298 to Volvo 340 / 360 shocks but it didn't say whether that's front or rear.
I'd agree with Bilbo, the ones in the picture don't look like rear 340 / 360 shocks at all ... Maybe they're not the actual ones for sale.
If you're anywhere in the Stuttgart area when you're in Germany how about contacting this guy?
http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... 0091609165
He had some original Volvo front shocks for sale but only offered collection ...

gabriel: the stuff cheap garages fit when changing dampers.
Will be good for replacing worn out stock dampers, but they're not exactly an upgrade.

I heard that koni would make a load of new shocks, but only with a group buy. Don't know for sure.
Friend of mine (driver in the 360 cup here in Holland) has a stage (dont know the english word??) at koni. I'll ask...who knows...

I just doubt that anyone will be willing to pay the prices koni will ask for a special production run.

Have just had my rear shock absorbers replaced. Quinton Hazell GasTec shocks and it makes a huge difference. The old ones had been getting rather tired and were running out of travel when going over speed bumps with a full set of passengers or when carrying loads.
The mechanic reckoned the QH's were the only gas-filled shocks he could get hold of, Sachs still having them in their parts lists but not supplying them. Maybe he just wasn't trying hard enough

Need to order 13 pairs and it is ~300/pair to front if I don't remember wrong, it was long time ago when I checked. Go Spax route when that will be ready, price is bit less and there is more settings to play with.
