Yup, it's all about driving on the top of the rut in the middle and on the edge
Found out this evening Fake isn't watertight... did have the headlights underwater at one point again. Must think about waterproofing intake and exhaust soon. Was ok until Nick pointed out my freshly aquired green books were about to get wet! Luckily he rescued them though!

Me and Bilbo dropped out entry off for Chris Pringle Memorial this Sat.
Can't imagine we'll be setting the world alight, especially if we use his car-strict instructions not to bend it!!!!!

Blatant thread resurrection-but hey,who cares.
Me and the mighty Bilbo will be Volvo powered for the John Robson organised by Hexham this Sat night-should be slippy
Obviously me bung hasn't swayed the organisers as we're car 22
Any of the southern shandy brigade out soon???

Cheely g*t

I've still not done any Nat B stuff, but me Jason and Aleks have been messing about in the WMC's club events since september, so far I've come home with 2nd, DNF, 4th and 2nd. Jason has been doing superbly too considering the amount he's done before, although managed to get stuck and had to be dragged out last time
I think both Aleks and Jason are out on the Carpet Bagger in Jan, I'm still waiting until I have another car working before I do anything serious in Fake.

Ah, the Bagger-even oop north we have heard of this-obviously it was by pigeon as me flat cap and wippet were otherwise engaged-has an excellent rep.
Being bone idle and having some canny roads on the doorstep means it's unlikely I'll ever attempt it
One of Bilbo's associates is doin' the Preston-strong car required

Yeah, Preston is pretty damn legendary down here... it was what I was aiming to get the car ready for, but guessing I'll miss it this year. See how it goes!

yeah his car is totally protected underneath with polypropylene about 20mm thick. still have the scars from fitting it. think the route is pretty much all whites

. my car is in recovery from when sven drove it last month on a local rally
were out this weekend and typical prep, ie do nothing and a few hours before the event fit a new windscreen, dip the oil and water and off

You forgot to mention kick the tyres to check the wind
Chris, you should ask Santa for a licence and stop all this clubmans nonsense

You want a nice, red 360 GLT you do
I'm tempted to try a club event in the T5 in the new year. Just because it'll be amusing fighting the understeery, over-powered box round the lanes!

Yeah, tis true

I will do in the new year, thing is I need a second car to do it, I need mine too much! I'm looking forward to getting involved tbh, although I am getting fed up of the underpoweredness of the 1.7, along with the less than fun rolling, but I have a plan for that too

As soon as I've got Fake more reliable again(which it was until a month or so ago) and got a guard on it, I'll enter a Nat B, my nav has a couple of clubmans under his belt, so straight onto a B should be ok
Carl, if I don't have the turbo running soon, i.e. before Fakes MOT, I am damn tempted for Fioner, I've been thinking it over for the last week or so. Well, that or a 16V laguna/megane/clio type thing anyway.

Yeah, I'm hoping to start some nat b next year but car needs more work yet! have yet to check how much damage was done on some whites I took last time, but they were awesome fun.
p.s - we were not pulled out of the mud we got ourselves out perfectly fine if OTL, lol
