Thanks guys

The pictures are flattering....the paint is pretty badly shot, and it has quite a few bits of rust (but mainly cosmetic stuff...the underside is solid & clean). John...it should look exactly the same as last time you saw it, bar the wheels! They now badly need the lips refinishing (to go with the refinished centres). They're from Nessy...
Poor Nessy with its collapsed strut...that was/is a genius car
Still, any mk1 is a good effort these days, and there are plans afoot to tackle the bodywork issues. First though, go-faster goodies...
cheers

I miss Nessy, superb Hugh bodgery at it's finest. He's coming round to mine on Sat, part 2 mondeo cruise bodging, will see if I can get him to post up again here! Before I'd met anyone on this board I remember meeting Hugh's mum, and being sat on her drive well past dark (see, without Hugh, we've had no Hugh's mum jokes in the last ages. poor show)
I believe I should stop rambling now, too many pints...
Aside, Foggy, before the go faster engine, you need to improve directionability!

Not for the kinda motoring I normally do
I have a set of Koni adjustables for the rear, but the front needs treatment from top to bottom. I think I'll let the bank account recover a little, then have a chat to Dai..
Besides, I've already got everything for the engine swap
EDIT: Nessy...yeah...totally. I got to the point where I couldn't stand its slowness (and the 343 is about the same pace, and with similar ratios thanks to the early short diff....there's just no 5th!)...but I massively miss its general awesomeness and cheapness. I still have it, and I'm sure it will rise again one day...just probably not as a B14!
cheers

lolz slowness was one of the reasons I sold my 343 too, it is pretty painful... and my T4 does about the same fuel economy

Could always engine swap, but one 300 is enough for me at the moment!
That Mk1 does look just 'right' though, are you sure you want to get rid of the blue

It's a great colour!

^^^ Thirded.
If you do change the paint, scrape that blue off and send it to me

With about ten of those front spoilers.

You know, I'm very seriously considering not changing the colour...
...if I do, it won't be for a long time yet, so there's plenty of time to debate it!
