I have one on my white car froma mk2 golf. That mk3 one you have will be a pain to fit because the corners are too round for the 340. You can cut a V ot of the top on the corner to be able to bend it sharply. To shorten it simply cut the section out of the middle and mount it on the car in 2 pieces.

Hi mate.
Putting it on as a two piece sounds like the way to go or
you try getting a 360 three piece.
Cheers Mark.

I did'nt know that a 360 has a 3 piece splitter, might have been easier way to go if i had known. Anyway youre comments were all helpful. And this is what it looks like now...
I like the end result!, I Think a square front numberplate could hide the join quite well (which isnt quite central), I want cibies and superlites, lowered, reclining buckets and heart transplant for my wonderful daily driver, but this will take time, i know, (If i ever get to that point) so in the meantime any suggestions on cheap easy mods welcome. I'm in 2 minds about the benefits of having a black bonnett, really cant be bothered constantly waxing, t-cutin the red one, as its like fighting a losing battle really!.
Thanks again for your comments!!!!!!! all comments considered!!!, Good or bad!!!. thanx!!!!!

I have aslo got a VDO rev counter plus replacement clock if you want cheap.

Yes its much better than the car i first drove home to norn iron from the big smoke (mainland england)

its starting to get noticed quite a bit too, glance over many a time to find an auld boy in the car nex 2 me looking at my car and sayin to his wife!!! " I Used to have a 340 back in the day y' know". well thats wat i like to imagine he's saying. Theyre probably all saying " Hasnt that fella heard of the government scrappage scheme!!"
Its got tons of character this car, and is 80's-tastic........just like me!!!!
Ive really enjoyed ownership of this car so far, its been a really fun car to own, and long may it continue to last..

Better not go there. The wife would make me move out to the shed.
