Been pretty quite on here due to work etc. but had another autotest the other weekend was ment to be on a stumble field which i was rly looking forward to being a farm boy and all that lol, however when we turned up it was on grass - very wet grass in the middle of the cheviots and of course i only had my standard 155/80/13's , there was 20 cars this time though but mine was still by far the slowest and only about 6 off us had road tyres on the rest had chunkys so was not very hopeful especially when i couldnt move in the field for spinning things got worse when the 1st cone i came to i decided to go the wrong way round (to many drinks the night before I think)
however things got better after a few of us had run the course and the rain stopped bit more traction, however a mk1 escort still got stuck at the bottom of the hill  I knew i wasn't gonna be competeing with the rest so decided just to go drifting so many dohnuts and airhorn moments were called for
number one lesson I learned was dont try and snatch 3rd gear when goin along the side of a very slippy hill as the whole car dug in when sideways and nearly highsided me
however managed 18th overall which i was pleased with on my best run i came 13th beating 2 Mk1 + a Mk2 escort, 2 MGB GTs, a clan crusader with a lotus twincam and a vectra estate :?:

all in all a very good day, hopeing to finally get the volvo project going again so I can get nearer the top of the board, but she is loseing her garage :( thanks to mum + dad getin a brand new audi a5 s-line, so im not complaing to much far better than their rover 75 anyway, will get some pics of the volvo on as soon as i start putting the new bits on her

actually been getin on with the volvo after sum neglect, lowered it 2 inch all round and fit classicwede shockers all round and what a difference they have made no body roll now but still runing 155-80-13s so after new wheels we'l notice a big change

anyhow had another autotest the day round a farm was very tight and my handbrakes knackered so ended up havin to do a few 3 pointers which was a shame, ended up 2nd last to a capri 2ltr so at least i beat a blue oval :D mind there was 3 cars costin over 20k there and lots of 100bhp fwd boys and a bloody quick quad bike that no one could touch a few pics anyway of before and after

Try and get a new lens/ new light asap mate. I've not seen a reflector in that good condition for a long time, and the moisture will screw it in a matter of weeks.

Good to hear you are still getting involved :)

not said much on here for a while been pretty lazy with the car past few months tbh, however have fitted a boot spoiler, new clutch + got some speedlines of liam which I am busy trying to find rubber for at the minute, only done one autotest since the last update which was by far the hardest mix of tarmac + loose gravel, in and out of farm buildings however i managed 3rd in class which i was well chuffed with, 1st was a mx-5, 2nd £20k mk2 escort, 4th mk2 escort, 5th clan crusader with lotus twin cam, 6th mk2 escort, only thing that really let me down was still the lack of a decent handbrake, was only 3 seconds behind that £20k mk2 aswell so was proper chuffed anyhow a few pics as it stands now
