Hey Chris, cheers for that! That whole part is a bit of a mystery atm, TOH says it's full of black shyte (soot of some sort I imagine) and it's a total unknown for us as we've never had a vehicle with one before. The book says it's not able to be user serviced so rather confused on this end. Any and all help is greatly appreciated! :D sm4

They are a problem tbh, a fair few Euro cars have a very similar if not the same style of one and they all are pretty knackered. Take it off the car and measure the resistance values between the pins mentioned in the green books (they will explain it better than I can manage!) if the values are inside of the book values then you've nothing to worry about and everything is working correctly but the odds of that are pretty slim ;)

I took the 4 screws out from the electical socket, gently pulled that about an inch away from the main housing and then sprayed a huge amount of contact cleaner onto the copper tracks. That brought mine back into spec. I'm trying to find a source of a replacement for 300's atm.

Chris, thanks again for the heads up - TOH will get on to all you've suggested this coming week and I'll let you know how it all goes.

If you do need another one, make sure the part numbers match up. There should be a Bosch part no. printed on the black cover.

Cheers

Thanks for that Tom, I'll make sure all of that is correct as well. The car is not at home atm as my daughter is using it for uni so I'll get her to take the numbers down. :)

Hi Jay,
Do you still have the sun roof panel? Don't need the cable or parts, just a good rust free panel.
I'm in Cornwall so would require postage etc.
Cheers
Mike
