Someone MUST buy the next sub £300 tidy eBay mk1.
I think that's now 3 that we've all let go now, and frankly threes enough.
God bless helldriver for keeping the win ratio up.

your hookups are like, serious.

No bay.

No gumtree.

Just pulls them out of the air as if they were the legs of a pidgeon.

If I had a proper job I'd be as much of a liability as Herr Foggy. Luckily I don't

Hello to everyone on Volvo 300 Mania! Some of you may remember my 345 on eBay a couple of weeks ago. I spent ages typing out a comprehensive description and making sure everything you'd need to know was mentioned, only for the car to be won by a lunatic. I've spent hours bouncing emails to and fro trying to get him over to collect his purchase and have listened to every excuse under the sun - the latest one being that he has had cancer for 7 years and is too ill to come over (he was well enough to bid on my car, but nevermind). I guess I'll have to give up now! I've been a bit slow on this one, as in all honesty I would rather not sell this car and I've been trying to convince myself to keep it, but as I have now bought a 360 GLT, I can't justify keeping both.

When selling, I was advised to sell on eBay and was told the car would probably find it's way to a drifting type, as obviously these early 345s are an aquired taste, but I'm hoping this car will find a buyer on this site who will cherish it, rather than cane the life out of it! On hindsight, I wish I'd come here first and saved myself a load of hassle and forking out on eBay fees!

I've managed to source some new boot struts, thinking I would keep the car, so the boot stays up now. I've also done quite a good job of fixing the loose spark plug mentioned in the listing. So... if anyone would like to save a nice mk.1 345, I'm looking for a minimum of £250 for it. I'll throw in the 4 brand new genuine Volvo alloys for an extra £50, if wanted. The car's located in Chichester, West Sussex.

Cheers guys.

John.

Best of luck with the sale John. Nothing worse than being messed around.

Unfortunately I'm the wrong side of the water for it (Dub), but I'm sure someone will bite your hand off.

It's good answer, but it's not right!

It's the blue one in the ebay listing linked on P1 of this thread ;)

Do I get thrown out of here if I buy mk1 #3...?

John - if the advice to sell on eBay came from me (which it might have done, if you made contact with the VOC), I do apologise that it has ended badly for you. Usually, it's where the cars make the best money, and most buyers aren't idiots. Most people here already have too many cars. However...a mk1 is a bit different. I am confident you'll find a buyer...and given that it has tax and test, I am very tempted to buy it myself...but I think I might get lynched, as I currently own 6 300s (until recently 8...), 2 of which are mk1s....none of which are currently road-legal!

cheers

James

In fact, sod it...I'll say that I *will* buy it, so that it doesn't end up going to a numpty while the rest of you lot dither about. ;)

It goes without saying that if one of the long list of people who deserve the car step up to the table, I'll bow out gracefully* ;)

*For a fee of £50 sm56 sm56 sm56

cheers

I was going to bid when it was on ebay but made myself not. Now I've spent the spare pennies it could have had on repairing Fake

Foggy, can it go on the pile of Mk1's I might buy from you one day
