Alittle update

I got -40mm 250ftlb springs for christmas :) The car handles much better but still doesnt sit 100% level 10mm lower on the nearside. It sits low both sides so im thinking about getting new rear shockers, as they are the cheapest thing to get. At the front the springs, shocks and spring cup have been replaced.

Put a new coolant sensor in and it runs much much better. So things are looking up for my volvo :)

Handling: +10
Power: +5

I tried to get new top cap bearings from our local bearing supplier, his reply was "you'll have to get them from rover" so i said "thats no fucking use!" talk about unhelpful lol! Our local autofactors didn't have any and neither could they order them in "our bloke doesn't deal with SKF" was their answer, again not very helpful. So a phone call to a autofactors 50 miles away came up with positive news. Ill be doing them in the new year hopefully.

Btw excuse the mud on the car.

Be that low however you could cheat by filling the arches a bit more with larger wheels. What size did ronals come in?

i had mine on 195/50/15s 75mm down maxed out dampers on cut in half bump stops and about 10mm away from top of the arch, with some 40 profile tyres you might get away with it but you wouldnt have a comfy ride :D

Normal GLT height is -1"

So youre -1" on the back, and Nearly -2" at the front.

195/50/15 s are fine on anything down to -3" all round, so youve loads of room left yet Evoman.

Getting lower than -3" will mean work mind.

haha!, cheers guys :) my nearside wheel still hits the top of the arch. That side doesnt have a bumpstop, but the bumpstops arent very meaty so i dont see how it would make a big difference
