no control whatever rods from blinds, proper angel eyes in the headlamps mate, and the nitrous would make your car look sorry if i raced you, upset alot of ppl, at least the effort and money has gone into the car opposed to the many 340 F7P's ive seen which have been half arsed with their cut springs and landrover dampers

Said as if that's a good thing.

I have (had) cut springs and LR dampers but there's no need to bag cars like that. I spend a lot of time and a bit of money on my 360. Race me instead.
You'd probably do me, but I dunno about making me look sorry. Bold claim there. I can guarantee it wouldn't happen when mine's back out though. Same deal saying it with Jon's motor. Who know's his F7R may have the legs on you. That would be funny were you to go head to head.

Loosen up mate!

filthyjohn wrote:Having an unflipped inlet, no heater box and being forced to breathe skanky engine bay air is definitely on my list of things which qualify as half-arsed. So is matt black, it's like admitting you CBA to pay attention to the basic principles of paint application. Even satin is respectable (satin is the plan for my opel manta A which will rip your 340 in half any day of the week BTW).
shamefully I looked into flipping the throttle body onto the other end, me and a friend came to a conclusion it would be a bad idea when chucking nitrous down the inlet, as the manifold unmodified spins the air into the cylinders equally.
the theory would be is that if it was chopped and put on other end it would not get equal flow of nitrous and would end up with the engine eventually going wrong.

I admit the paint job is matt black and "cliche" but people's preference, the original blue paint job had seen its last good looking days, and its a drift car so it went matt black to save cost as I prefered to put the money into suspension, bushes, fuel system and nitrous system etc.

I am not saying that your manta wouldnt leave it in the dust, but for a 340 F7P running at 200bhp aprox on nitrous against a 340 F7R at 150bhp would be quick, jets on nitrous can always be changed if feeling it needs more but the setup it has is really nice for drifting already.
just think its time to move on and get a s13 with more poke all the time.

cheers

Nate

I do apologize if I came across as offensive but I do love volvos myself and I have put the proper money into the car (apart from the paint job), people's preference again, if you want to cut springs etc then ok but just not my preference I would have chose for my 340.

most likely the 360 would give it a run with a 2.3 turbo motor compared to a 340 F7P with a shot of nitrous on standard ecu but I was commenting to jon-ovlovs post, I do love volvos myself so I do apologize again if I came across as offensive people but I am protective like yourselves about your 340's and 360's, just mine seems not to some people's tastes which I can accept.

Very nice and high spec!
I'd suggest a fair few more non standard things than he's listed... but that with a 360 steering wheel and the correct badges on the back would be a cracker :D
Saw this yesterday with Foggy.

It's nothing shy of sexy, need a bit of work on a rear sill jacking point bit but it's in great nick. Chap got a bargain IMO

This went for £820. I put a bid in at £500 :P I was thinking of it for towing but got cold feet after a little mpg research and also was a little put off by some of the stuff I read about the V6 engine in these (and also the fact that I have too many things on the go 300 wise!). Looked like a nice car, hope it went to an enthusiast and not a double the price in 24 hours dealer  . Always liked this 70's type 200 estate, one day maybe :|

Aftermarket 300 spoiler

Turned up on my ducktail (woo ooo!) search. Hard to tell what style it is, but I assume it's the same as what's on the box. Not my cuppa though. Any good to anyone?

Interesting. I never knew Hella did a spoiler for the 300 saloon ... Not my cuppa either, but I love all period tuning stuff really :-)

Cheers
