Bit of grot starting here and there, but it's old-school, so I can forgive that.

£200 start. Hmmm. If I buy this and swap the later type doors from my car (also silver) and attach a pair of knackered wings would anyone want it? Obviously less than I pay for it - should it go for a sensible amount. I think it could yield some handy stuff for me.

This.
Me and Benji wanna team up and bag this. Would be nice to know if we have any competition from these parts.

Given that our reasons for wanting it are both admirable and two-fold i reckon you should clear the way lol.

Ben gets a nice clean motor and I get the doors I'm after. With my old doors (any maybe wings) living another day on said 343.

You can't stand in the way of VND and his 4345i8098333th V 300. 8)

I do need some 343 doors with the quarter lights for the MK1. However I've been reliably informed that the internal trim won't fix on to these slightly later quarter light doors (with the later style door cards) without a lot of fiddly weldy messing about. Although I've not even looked at the job yet, I'm assuming that it's easier to fix in the bottom half of any good rust free later door (up to the centre line) and bottom part of the inner frame.
So no, I don't think I'll be bidding :P
Would be a great pity however to mess about with this car just for the doors/wings as it looks all there and those parts will turn up eventually somewhere. I'd expect some rot in those wings internally, and probably the doors. It does look OK in the photo, but just remember about the VND saying about 300's and photos

^ True Andy.
I thought you might have been in there TBH.
Its only 100 miles from us, so its worth a jaunt to have a poke really.

Im not up for a restoration on the scale of your one, but i'd run it and keep it till it was unrun/keepable.......
There should be more 343s on V3M.

Bloody hell, didn't notice it was there, only 50 miles from here!

I would have been if the doors were a straight swap as I've been on the lookout since I got the car in November 2009

I'd like to keep the Mk1 interior intact complete with door cards/window winder and pull handles etc, so there's no easy way round it. These doors are even the same colour, just 3 years too young!

Therein lies the problem. I want mine pretty much sorted for use this summer. i reckon the wings probably aren't worth the hassle.

Who knows. Maybe if someone on here gets it I can still swap the doors.
