There is also enviromental stress caused to car electrics, usually these will cause bad earth and these are potential car burners even with standard fuses, usually these are calculated into standard fuse sizes too so it should not take fire, but if problem is enough bad it can burn.

Then there is differences of 12V and 230V systems, powerloss etc. stuff, I have studied only 2 weeks electrics at school, but much more in this car hobby and there is quite suprising differencies. Also theory is just theory, in real life things tend to have ability to go wrong even if it should worked by theory ;)

Mines the orig Hella one ;) I did have two but I sold one to someone else on V3M ;) The proper one has two screws that level the beam out, without seeing your lights, I won't be able to say I'm afraid, you might have adjusters, otherwise, you might have to 'modify' the mountings a bit! Good luck with it!

And Jani's points are spot on too.... you got the message yet and got hod of a relay and stuff??

got the message mate... could put in some new wires and extra fuses between the lights... if i bother :P

anyways, gonna head down to the scrap in the morning and get me a new starter, as changing wires and sparkplugs did not solve the problem (getting tired of pushing the car). i kind of miss that feeling i'v got from the 340 the first moths i had it, and from the old toyota, the feeling when you get in the car, and you KNOW it's gonna start.

have not looked closely in to the starter, but is it possible to get a starter from a nissan, toyota, mazda etc (heard that japanese cars got the best starters) or should i just make it easy for myself and get it from a 300 ?

and; just got a hold of some cheap speakers to replace the original in front. would the fit in the original covers ? they are 5,25" (13cm)

thanks

They could fit in the footwell but they will not fit in the door, those are 4".

any accessory that is only working with the ignition on would do i.e.heater blower, indicators wipers , rear fog ,etc

of course, but the lights draws a lot of current, and you have kind of yelled at me for putting in bigger fuses..

had it on the same fuse at the dashboard-lights for a while now, but got a lot of trouble with the fuse.. and dont want my car to burn down :P

you can use one of those wires as the live feed to the relay then the heavier wire from the relay to the lights ,that way no damage will be done
