slightly off subject but i thought u guys may be interested i just managed to find my old pics of my old 480 i bought it and took the engine out for the r5,
i completly stripped it and scrapped the shell, i still have most the parts in my mates garage.
i bought the car with a little mot for £400 great engine.
And here is what i call rotten & needs welding (floor pan of renault 5)

so yea that was a fun little project.
i also had a go at some alloy polishing on the manifold
and the wheels
well heres the 480 when i finnished
and the renault 5

my chavy days
then i moved on to the jap seen
here was my ride,
well anyway fuel costs, and insurance killed it for me so i gave up on fancy cars ;(
sorry if i bored you i was just rumiging through my photobucket and reminiscing, thought someone may find it interesting?

Nice work on the rust.
Did the 1.7T ever make it into the R5? It looks very much like one of the cars in the Ali G movie!
cheers
James

I love the way the R13 tyre's are listed in trabitom's brochure pics as "standard equipment"
pretty useless without tyres i would have thought!
there is a Mk3 spoiler on ebay for £25 here is the link:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CLASSIC-VOLVO ... 565185d7b6
but it runs out in 4 hours, 0 bids ATM
Mk2 spoiler is somewhat rarer, but good luck if you decide to search for one!

Grrffff... MkIII spoilers on MkIIs aren't quite my cup of tea (I'm trying to look for a pic of one, but can't find it ATM ...).
Keep an eye out for the MkII one (they're not that rare), or even a Mk1 VW Scirocco Zender spoiler - these look good as too, and were even fitted by Volvo in the early days! Zender part no: 4.112.03.3
Congrats on the MOT!
Cheers
Tom

sorry for suggesting it, i shall beat myself accordingly!
didnt know about the scirocco spoiler being interchangeable with the 300, surely 'old' scirocco spoilers are more common so that'd be a better way to go!
