If you want an EFI tank, here's a heads up...they're different. Of course, you could convert pretty easily, but if you were eying up a bolt-in, I've already found out courtesy of Mr Farrell's collection that EFI and carb tanks differ.

Let me make a call to the dealer, and I'll get a price Mr Mac.

I possibly jumped the gun a bit there on the tank...but I know Adam is planning an EFI swap so he can run a B18FT, and I thought he was thinking of one of Hugh's tanks, perhaps not realising that 360 carb/injection ones aren't the same.

cheers

Fair play bud :) I'm not actually sure it's possible to fit a 360 tank to a 340 without either 'reprofiling' the tank with a variable pressure applicator or fitting a torque tube, as the 360 only uses one mount, relying on the TT to support the rest...and I think the 360 tank will foul on the 340 box mounts.

Before you fit it, I'd rustproof the hell out of the top of it, as they're well known for rotting out on top - as I'm sure you're well aware.

cheers

Yep i had the pressure washer under the car to clean the gearbox etc and found a lot of rust on top of the tank plus its got a big dent so doesnt hold as much fuel as its supposed to!!!!

I'll be there. Haven't worked out whether I'm coming on Friday evening or Saturday morning yet. Chris is planning to come too, even though he's flying back the day before.

Are you getting a train to Devon or do you still want a lift from Birmingham? I think im returning via Salisbury so I don't think I'd be able to give you a lift back :?

Pretty much the same as Andy really. Hugh, do you want us there Friday night at all? It'd just make it a more productive weekend if some of us came across leisurely on Friday night and then got a good start Saturday morning, rather than setting off at silly o'clock in the morning Saturday, still to only get to you mid morning! That way you'll have my trolley jack there first thing too.
