We have a daylight rally here in West Wales.Its called "The Classic Tracks Rali".As the name sugests its all run on farm tracks with neutral sections on public roads to link the stages together.Llandysul Motorclub organize the event and its extremely well run.I've entered it every year since it began in 04 and even won some trophies.The big difference between this event and others is its run in daylight hours,which means loads of spectators and no taking a days rest after driving all night like in a night event.Me and my driver have competed in 2 360s and aBMW 316.Both cars stood up to a hell of a hammering unlke some of the ford Sierras which did make the finish.Some boys even had to climb out of their windows because the chassis on their Fix Or Repair Dailys had bent so much the front wings were pushed back into the front doors jamming them.No probs with the 360 though.She was a tough machine who loved to be pushed.

Well that was exhausting
1st NAM h/break it in-chimney starts to blow-next slot left its adrift and attempting to batter away in thru the boot floor-atleast it wasn't too hot when I ragged it off.
After that it was all downhill
On one white there was an all mighty clatter and was waiting for the oil light to come on,but it never did.So hopefully there's still a sump there somewhere.
Cut and ran near the end so hopefully classified as finishers and collect a couple of points for the championship.
Thanks to Bilbo for trying to plot when staying in the chair looked difficult enough.
Off to pick up what's left of the car shortly as it chucked a mile shy of the finish venue
Sleet,snow,black ice,fog and clarty as hell.All in all a bit if a tester.

lastnight for us we had all 4 seasons in 1 night - ice,snow,sleet,rain,wind,fog and so on. some of the roads you needed a landrover or similar not a car! to be honest after the first 1/2 mile when the back box came adrift i thought it was all over,but credit to the car it held together and got us round. after finishing the rally the car eventually gave in with only 1.5miles to go to the finish venue[a country pub] and a huge buffet awaiting we did a foggy and ran out of petrol
. to our defence we were supposed to put some petrol in at the start as the organisers wanted every crew to put a little petrol in at the garage it started at to make it worth while for the garage. we were late and missed the garage as sven decided on the way to put some air in his fancy potenza nobblers and the air machine promptly deflated the tyre and then decided to not work any more. he had to buy a footpump and set about it with his size 12's
all in all an eventfull night

By some sort of miracle of science and the fact that we have managed to drag our fleet of junk to the finish on each event entered we are now lying 2nd in class with 3 events left.
Would love to ram it up a few of 'em-the cars we use cost less than most of their cages
Finished a highly impressive 13th overall,well it would 've been impressive if more than 14 had finished.It was a war of attrition that night.
Awiting full results but we were doing OK 'til the penulimate section where we dropped a $hit load of time.
This was mainly due to the driver being a total tw@ and not listening to nav and later blaiming the rackety exhaust for blatantly ignoring his nav and organising his own rally.The Go wherever I damn well want Classic 07.
In a commitment to securing the 07/08 class win,Sven said "I'll definately put more laccy bands on the chimney to hold it in place and I'll put more Duct tape on the wing to ensure it doesn't flap too much and hinder our 0.19 drag coef."
With enterprise like that who knows what 08 will bring the Geordie idiots.
