In an attempt to get back to topic, is anyone in the same position as me regarding the driving computer? I've only got the actual "cash register" display unit, but no
* injection box (Chris?)
* speed sensors (I've heard universal ones from Conrad might fit?)
Is anyone else in a similar situation? Maybe a group buy could keep the costs down ...

Since Saturday, I'm in the same situation... I've the display, brackets for the 300 series but no injection box and no speed sensor!
I would like to find them asap!!
I know that Chris was working on the injection box, how far is the project? If someone has the genuine box with a part number it would be nice!!
I also have funny information... We have seen that the computer was used by Volvo, Zemco... it was also used by Jaeger on french cars!!! Look at that!!

The project has progressed loads. Last week, it moved from the back of my shelf buried and forgotten under projects 251->548. It's now at front of memory, and will stay there while I'm being pestered and until a new project covers it up
A straight copy *shouldn't* take too long, the circuit is pretty simple, I just need to check availibility of the bits. I'm intrigiued now rather than doing what I was going to and just copying it without really looking at it, too see how it works, and whether it will work with other injection systems. That will take longer, but, it means mine will work on my engine, so lots more incentive to get it done
If it won't work on other systems, I'll need a think, and see if all systems need their own solution, or whether I can make one universal box of happyness that will create world peace...

It is just question of setting up appropriate sensors and display with some code to transform inputs to sensible readings.
I'm very interested from making sensors for dampers, so I could datalog those with megasquirt for example, but it can take some time until I can do that
