Ali, I stuck the file through powerdyn last night, lets just say I reckon you are being conservative on the torque... I have some pics with yours and Fake together for a comparison, but I won't post anything till you say so!

EDIT: Hmm, looking at it again, mine does look unrealistically high.. hmm, I'll have a check again...

Nah it'll grip through 2nd fine in the dry in a straight line, pretty certain it wouldn't in the wet though, haven't even tried using 1st on boost haha, it just pulls and pulls in every gear lol,

Forgot we were using Andys powerdyn setup so my cars a lot lighter, less power than I thought but still........

Hello mate have you taken into account the welded diff.......sure to make some sort of difference :? I reckon about 170bhp wouldn't be an unfair guess. We could probably get more by dialling in more ignition advance up at the high revs to get a better 'headline' figure, but on the 'butt dyno' its fast enough :D

Hmmm, what drivetrain loss do you have in for that setup Ali?

I reckon I have too much loss, as my numbers seem too high, will have to go to a trusted dyno one day to calibrate it. Anyway, comparision to a stock 1.7, both using the same setup.

That sounds believeable. You're just about on stock torque (perhaps a whisker more). Stock power for a B200FT was 155, but you have a big exhaust, hotter cam, and MS, which will be less conservative with the tuning than LH.

Nice work :) Can't wait to go for a ride in it!

cheers

Looks great, sure bit more tuning needed I believe as there is few dips in curve, but it surely has good amount of extra punch now :D

He also has a welded diff, which is gonna increase drivetrain losses considerably, so I reckon 170 bhp isn't a bad guess. As I said above ^^, there's scope to get a better 'headline' figure, but this map was quite conservative, particularly at the top revs, where the peak bhp will be.

We could also get more from the bottom end of the torque curve too, but we were pretty happy with what we got.

One truth about tuning is that you never get it perfect, there is always little something to try and tune, there is danger of actually forgot enjoying and driving part completely

No risk of that happening! Been driving it all day haha, i've got some videos but im not at home yet so i'll edit them and upload later, just a shame the camera sound is TOTALLY distorted with the noise of it haha, one of the vids shows the pace of it quite nicely though

hurry up and upload the vids!

all you need now is a nice loud dumpvalve or recirulating dumpvalve if you want stealth...

get some flames coming out the exhaust if you can :P

It doesn't need a dump valve, it sounds fine without i'm sure Andy will agree haha, might get some flames off the limiter but haven't got that far yet, no real need lol, video here when youtube decides to work

The nutcase has got no bleed or depressurisation system at all, recirculating or otherwise, so you get a LOT of compressor chatter when you lift off on boost :o

It was the loudest sound in my earpiece when I was tuning the ignition.

Ali did you get the sensor problems sorted?

Errrm compressor chatter is "pigeoning" Image on smaller turbo's the sound just isn't seperated so much so sounds more like a dump valve than the clear tch tch tch sort of thing
