Really a shame that such beautiful structure was destroyed in a fire. Great balance of light in photo, mine come out always bright in one spot and dark in another, but I guess average is quite ok in them
I did spend today bit of time with micro fibre, camera and Windex, off to test how it performs I went, result was not half bad, imo, there are only two dust spots left, with only one clearly visible, which is rahter easy to remove with clone tool, but I might try to improve result a bit later.
Here are few shots I made, had not really lot of motivation, but got few pics which I think are worth sharing.
This is rose of two flies (or flyes?), I'm not too sure if that becomes to triangle drama, but still I like the colours and pattern on wings of that fly:
This nice looking cloud seemed to follow shape which treetops draw to sky:
Took some more, but I don't know if they are any better, mostly about clouds, so probably not much of interest there.

Thanks, I think it was taken with 180mm macro, I could of gone to 300mm, but then it would not be possible to make as sharp + more difficulties to make good crop.
Board cuts right edge of that one, here is link so you can see it fully:

Not so little cute spider on ~100mm diameter metal pipe (edit: that is 50% size from original photo):
Forgot to use the flash, so it is not so good shot, but then again my pocket cam probably would just flooded the shot with flash, one option would been to make artificial shadow, but then sky would not been so nice looking, I think, my pocket cam had no view finder and lcd is broken so I really can't tell about my settings or what I have taken photo from, unless I connect camera to pc and download pics I take, just little increased challenges.
However I do like shadow spider casts on metal pipe, would be great for some b-class horror movie, imagine dark sewer scene where light glows on the wall at some distance and you see full wall size shadow like that approaching with weird noises and quiet music on background (tididididididi), suddenly music stops, then lady screams and music start to play really fast and loud, preferably with some string instruments, of course shadow starts to move towards camera faster, maybe I should direct a movie sometime?

Certainly not, accidentally I moved that metal pipe with spider, when I found out there was odd looking spider which I have never seen before, I took few pics and put pipe back to where it was, you should not harm wildlife if you can avoid it
You really should show more love to nature, it loves you back then (usually with biting bloodsucking mosquitoes or horse flies)

No.
I have a longstanding agreement with nature.
If you have more than 4 legs, you stay away or you get squashed.

On the one hand Jani, thats an awesome picture. Great sharpness!
On the other, I'm now cowering under my desk. Seriously... that thing looks horrific!

Then you must thank me not posting underside shot of that thing
I'm quite afraid of spiders, but then again, I'm quite curious how all things are build and in engineering point of view insects are quite masterpieces of design and construction. Dragonflies being perhaps most beautiful things there is in insect world, but those are impossible to take photo from, I can barely keep up with them with my eye and haven't seen none of them resting here, even this is 1st summer I have seem them flying here.
BTW, I don't have any idea of what species that spider is, who knows if it was one of those jumping and biting poisonous ones, anyway I stuck camera lens about 5cm from it's face, when I took that shot, camera could do 2cm or so, but I did not wanted to scare poor thing too much.
Today I also spotted swimming spider, it floated with its eight legs and did run on surface of water, quite interesting sight really, but could not took video of that as thing was so fast that it was out from water before I realised that I had camera with me, ahem might be that I'm bit slow these days something to do with getting closer to 4x than 3x...

Nothing special, shot this one with pocket cam that has broken LCD and no viewfinder, all pics come out weirdly red, so need to retouch them, but at least can see something.
I accidently stepped on this one, luckily it did not seemed to got badly hurt, it is our only snake that has poison, took pic after I lifted my leg so it could escape and feel being safe more or less:

Too bad that my camera situation is not so good, I have only this pocket cam which has broken LCD display, so when I take pics in dark they are not best of all.
Took pic from my workforce, they are mouse catchers, I have been trying to tame them from last summer, slowly progressing.
They live in my warehouse currently, won't let me touch and often runs hide when they see me, but slowly they are starting to trust me a bit. All three are born wild, first time I saw mother cat she literally climbed to walls.

Omnomnomnom
I did place an order from Nikon D3100, don't really bothered to read much from it, just skimmed trough specs and price tag, hopefully it will be enough to replace broken D40.
