Quick snap from side window while driving on road near Tuuri (translates directly to 'luck'), that was at morning, so it was sunrise.

It is very common to ocean freeze in here, it has quite low amount of water + quite low percentage of salt if I remember correctly, but also there is quite cold temperatures here, permanent snow came at November, since then temperature has been 0 or below, of course where Fuse lives it is bit warmer, but winters are quite cold and oceans pretty frozen.
You can see here the ice situation, jäätä = ice, as now weather has been very mild there is not so much ice than there was at december for example, but situation changes pretty fast.

Between Oulu and Hailuoto (island near Oulu) there is ice road during winter, so people drive cars over sea ice.
It is really nice arctic view during winter from sea, as Fuse's pics do show, one can get bit lonely feeling when there are only vast plains of ice to all directions.

One of cats spying on me:
1 second without support and it was already as dark as night gets, so photo is not the best possible.
Oh yeah, we got bit of snow, next to cat there is one trailer and 200 litre oil drum. Cat is not much smaller than adult cat in size and it is bit fat, long hair edition
There is 100% crop, had bit too high allowance for auto ISO too:
Behind the cat is wooden plate which I put there a week ago to cover their pathway, so that is amount of snow we got in a week and it has been like that quite some time now, sometimes we have gotten a lot more of snow, rarely less.
They just pick a spot and then watch, if I get closer they scramble to safety, weird creatures, still they do lick my fingers clean when feeding from hand

Some big cats...
I'm not too happy with this new D3100, there seem to be lot of noise, no matter if noise reduction is turned on, also focusing seem to be lot more difficult, somehow I'm not getting focus right most of time. Compared to D40 there seem to be those issues at least, but I have to experiment bit more, maybe some different technique is required.
However I'm picking up noise easily even ISO200 and that should not be the case, also noise reduction effect seem to be rather subtle, so there is often kind of grain effect in photos.

Sunsets during spring and autumn are great, as are sunrises.

Snapped this one from side window while doing 50MPH on icy road.
There was again sundog and this time I did actually stopped to take photo of it, can't say that it did any good for that snap:

Our student association did an excursion trip through Estonia-Latvia-Lithuania-Poland and Belarus. I took quite a lot of pics there, I'll post some later.

BTW it is same cat at that lower snow pic and last pic I posted, he did go trough transformation in time between the shots and there is no place where would not be cat hair, cleaning every hour will just change amount of cat hair everywhere
Here is photo I took today as practising with D3100, I think it came out pretty ok?

Pretty good aye, focus looks a little off centre but if that's what you were aiming for - great
