I'm guessing that they won't be too strict about the parking. After all, the venue hosts GPs and this weekend they only have a track day and a trade exhibition.

However, if it all goes wrong, please don't blame me

hi guys

When I was at donington for a track day it was a day for anyone in their own car ( all you needed was a crash helmet ). There were also some race teams doing testing. The day was £100 for unlimited time on the track. There were proper race cars and also a knackered old Golf which was bought simply to drive on the track ( it looked like it was about to expire! )

There was free access to the pit lane area. That area is HUGE!! its where to lorries park on a track day. If we head to the pitlane/ paddock entrance then we can have the meet there

maybe someone could phone donny to double check but i thinki it should be ok. ANd for £100 i sure some guys could have their cars on the track ( i'll obstain as im a bit broke at the mo )...

should be an amazing day!

if its a general track day it should be no probs to just turn up

hi there...

what does everyone think about doing a joint meet with the NW region 480 club guys? They havent had a NW meet recently and are looking to do one.... would be cool as we'd have more people too!

Im in contact with them about having a NW meet soon and thought why not make it a joint one?

A nice Dutch volvo day!

dya think its worth asking donny if its ok for us all to turn up and park in the paddock parking area..... thing is.... we might get told no which is annoying.... if we all turn up its like "well... we are all here now...."

correction to above... you need an MSA licence to go on the track but there are different days for race cars and road cars....

looking forward to it!!!!

:)

12 March is a 'TrackZone' day. The blurb says:
http://www.donington-park.co.uk/trakzone/ wrote:Donington Park TrakZone track days give you the opportunity to drive the circuit in your own car.
Days are usually run in sessions, with anyone holding a Road Traffic Act or MSA competition licence
able to take part after a pre-event briefing.
No MSA license required!

480 Club... hmm not too bothered, joint meets usually work out well - might be able to show them a reliable lot of Volvos ;) Chris might not be too happy though...

They also have a nice selection of wheels that'll fit our cars

Surely if they have the same idea's about enkoying their cars like we do ours that would work, you lot accepted a 200 driver after all!!!

Well I did end up buying a 300, so maybe you can sway them into getting something RWD??

Oh and I'm coming in the 200, with more paint and more vinyls hopefully
