Yeah, I found a 'lots to do' poster thing of attractions in Devon and I think that was on it.

I'm not sure exactly where it is. The map just had an arrow saying upwards...

I think Bishops Lydeard is actually in Somerset...but it's not that far from Exeter to the border...it's a manned border mind you, keep the plebs out...

Yeah, sounds like a plan. We need to start thinking about this in earnest. One consideration....summer Saturday = horrendous jams on the M5. Not a good day to be travelling

Since we're getting ever closer, may I make an executive decision as a local, and say Friday or Sunday? Saturday is going to be a misery - it'll take me hours to get out of Torbay, and you guys heading down the M5...

Any update on the plan? Is the steam rally all weekend Chris? Is anyone going to be overnighting? How about a trip to Hugh's...maybe to fire Nessy up (and assess the rust

)?

Proposed programme...(timescale is during meet, not during day...necessarily!)
Early: Play with Nessy
Middle: Food (and drink if it's the evening? I'll be a designated driver...)!
Late: Steam Rally or Karting?

The timescale here depends on a lot of things - mainly whether we're staying overnight or not.

I'm coming down Friday, I can't leave work till 12, and then ferry etc. Me and Steve are staying at Kates (is that the current plan Steve?), but I'm not gonna be able to walk if I don't spend some time with her

I also need to be back on the island for work at 8:30 Monday. And I think it is all weekend, and I can't get hold of entry fees cos the leaflets at Kates, and she's away. Sorry for the less than useful answer!

Bham to Exter and back in a day is an effort? Lightweight...try South Devon to Nottingham and back in a day, or South Devon to York and back in under 36 hours
