Don't get me wrong, everything is welcome (I'm not exactly suggesting that the 345 will be one of the 'pretty' ones)...I just think Crich might be a bit happier if we put the shinier stuff nearer the front...if you get me? It's kinda hard to explain unless you've been there, but there was a little line-up of 4-5 cars nearer the main bit of the "village", at the start of the path up to where the rest of the cars will be.

cheers

If you've ever owned a bright red car, you know what polish is ;-) They go pink otherwise ...

Surely she's well familiar with being a "Volvo widow" by now...? I mean how wrong can a happy anniversary car meet possibly go? (Foggy wanders off to contemplate why he's single...!)

Just catching up having not been around here for a while.
Crikey, is this really possibly happening?!
I'd be interested in the Sunday part at Crich...

I still have to return the booking form (read: have an evening when I'm at home and not doing 10 other things), but yes....yes it is!

Details for the Saturday are a bit sketchy at the moment, but my plan was to gradually congregate at a pub (venue to be decided) on the Saturday morning until everyone is there, then set off on a drive (to be taken at whatever pace you fancy) around the peak district...quite possibly taking in the Cat & Fiddle and Snake Pass. I've done a quick route on Google maps, and setting off from "somewhere near Derby", taking in those two glorious routes, then back to the Crich area is pretty much exactly 100 miles and nearly 3 hours. That gives us plenty of time to gather everyone up and get ready for some dinner.

Finally, we'll find somewhere to sleep...either camping or a friendly hotel (budget and preference depending!), and ready ourselves for the Sunday!

cheers

James

Liking the sound of the plan so far... the last Peak District meet was one of my favourite, purely down to the location - despite it being freezing cold the weather made the scenery look stunning.

I'm liking the sound of this too. I'd be up for it ... but only the Saturday and once again in the "wrong" car unfortunately.

Cheers

Any more updates on Chrich or suggestions about staying somewhere?
