Getting closer all the time chaps....

Today we installed the rear hatch again. My body guy, Billie, has removed all the imperfections on the roof and is now sanding down the filler.
Yesterday the new paint arrived so we are making great progress.

This morning the roof had it's first coat of Primer paint and it is as smooth as a Baby's bum.

The last little fix along the Hatch edge should be complete by this afternoon.

The Hatch is also getting a bit of TLC. Two spots needed to be straightened out and filled.
I would say that be next weekend "Marilyn" will be in paint and almost ready to come home.

What remains is to tweek the inside support rail above N/S door for a proper headliner fit.

Good luck with the work!

"Marilyn" was not completely sprayed....Only from behind the doors to the back.
My paint guy is a master of blending paint and his work on my 343 was no exception.
Today she was unveiled after a good buffing with a glaze overcoat.

Magnifcent.
You can't even tell now that the roof had been destroyed
Tomorrow she comes home after a good bath tonight. I'll post some photos tomorrow when she is in the sunlight.

I'm so glad that this car's come back from disaster, well worth the effort for such an early car in such a nice condition.
For some reason I now can't see the earlier photos in this thread, only grey no entry signs, is this just me?
