This isn't really the time of year when its much fun to work on a car, so hold on to them for the time being, but come spring / summer I've got a big shopping list ready :)

I'm sure I'm "preaching to the converted" but whatever all of you do, don't throw any of these accessories away! Some of those things fitted as standard on many UK 300's are really hard to find over here, including such "common" things like headlamp & rear wash-wipe, alloys and central locking and I 'm not even begun talking about PAS, air con, leather etc. which are totally unheard of. Maybe we got more catalysts than you guys (mine's got one) but all they do is save us a bit of tax and reduce the car's power.

If anyone's got a "Blue leaflet" for central locking or electric windows that'd be great. AFAIK they're still missing from the "Technical Resources" list ...

I've got the photos here for a "how to" on electric windows, just need to write it up. Steve came down and helped me do it on Fake, and in return, I showed him how to refurb electric motors! We can post how too's for both bits, it really is easy!!

I am also very interested of those. I have central locking system in garage waiting to be fitted but i haven't got a clue how to. sm14

I've checked on interparcel.com - for that shipping price I could almost get a cheap flight and a hire car and drive up myself!

Since you're breaking your GLT I'll just send you a quick "shopping list" as well, just in case you've got any more bits you'd like to sell. All the nice stuff may have long since gone, but I'll ask just in case ...

I'm interested in any parts you have for

PAS (my main priority at the moment - to keep the wife happy :-) )
headlamp- and rear screen wipers (including all their motors, tubes, wiring & switches)
central locking (5dr)
black GLT front grill
GLT front spoiler (the plastic lip underneath the valance)
GLT rear spoiler (5dr)

which would fit my MkIII. My car was never fitted with any of these, so any cables / screws / switches / hoses / relays you have for these would save me a lot of searching ...

Electric windows and mirrors would be nice one day too, but I've heard LHD mirrors were a little different to RHD ones and I can't really see myself getting the time to fit them. But I'll add them to my "shopping list" just in case you have some and really need the space :-)

The person coming to pick them up would be, erm, my mum, so I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to give you a hand removing any of the stuff ...

Hi, no problem. I might be able to help with a few of those items. I'll have to check what I've still got and what I can get. PAS probably isn't one to be honest, and I don't know if the swap can be done easily with parts from a RHD car to a LHD?

Hey, now worries mate! The alloys arn't even in Southampton, they are on the Isle of Wight, and to get there will cost you about the same as the flight to the UK!

I'm not sure either, I've only just started getting the pieces together and am still gathering info ...

The steering rack & probably the column will be different but many other bits (pump, pulley, hoses, mounting brackets etc.) could be similar. I'm in contact with a guy in east Germany who has a 360 PAS with a broken steering rack, I'll ask him to take some pictures for comparison ...

Hi, no wings that are any good I'm afraid. And after reading the other thread, it seems as though it's not the indicator stalk, but the mount onto the steering column.
