To answer your question mate, AFAIK, York and you don't have to be a member to get in, only a member to enter your car and take part in the BKV, otherwise you're confined to the public car park! You can join on the day, I did last year. My membership has now expired though.....!

Is anyone interested in the whole B230 engine? If not is anyone interested in parts from it - 531 head, fly wheel etc etc? it's taking up too much room and really needs to go!

Quite fancy the head actually, to replace the one on the 230k I should be getting from foggy in a while. I gather the 531 is the one to have. Maybe the K cam if it's a bit hotter than the one that's in/more suitable for turbo use. Are 230 and 200 manifolds interchangeable btw anyone?

Sadly John, the K cam is in my hall, as of this evening.

I can go one better than 'interchangeable'.....try 'the same'...assuming they're both EFI manifolds ;)

cheers

Glad you all got your stuff ok guys. Thanks to Chris for taking it all up!

John - if I split the engine up I'll let you know, I'd really rather get rid of it whole as I've already got one bottom end laying around dont really want another!

I'll have the whole thing then Carl, I'm guessing It's something like 10:1cr and skinny rods yeah? What sort of power do they make? Might even put it in the car as it is, buying myself some time to rebuild my 230K.
However I can't come all the way to Southampton any time soon. I might be in Cambridge in a month or two, so I could go the extra distance then, as I'll be halfway down. Reckon you can hold it til then, or fit it in a jiffy bag and post it?
It's a big old drive like, I once bought a 205 off ebay and drove back from Salisbury in one day- very tiring! sm41

dont know if this will help ( and the wife will probably kill me for suggesting it lol ) but once its paid for and as long as its not here for tooooo long ,

If Carl can get someone to drop the lump off at my place in Milton Keynes it may be easier for John to pick it up from here .

anyway the offer of temporary lump accomodation is there.

Hi, new member and yet another WMC member here, just bought nicks 360 gle with intention of turning it into a rally project.

I was just wondering what suspension and brake parts you have left, and what advice anyone can give on the most straightforward method of a worthwhile brake conversion.

Cheers

The engine is from an early 940, so I think that make's it a B230FB that put out around 130bhp - Foggy will be the man to confirm this! I can store the engine for a while though. I just wanna be able to get the SD1 in there later in the year (although I'm not entirely certain it'll fit anyway!).

Welcome Jason! I've still got some uprated front springs, poly bushes for the front wishbones, Volvo front strut top mounts and some Monroe rear shocks (with some of the bushes missing though). I don't have any standard brake bits left, but I've got some 240 4pot calipers and some Vauxhall Carlton discs and it was rumoured that these could be used for make an upgrade however it wont all just bolt on! I've also got some 480 Turbo calipers that I picked up to mess around with. But if you wanna keep things simple make sure the standard setup is in good order, use dot5.1 fluid and think about some uprated pads.

Cheers
