Also i've spotted a 5 door in white recently and a grey (same colour as mine) 5 door with a smashed rear quater window repaired with chequer plating

It lives at the end of my GF's road so shall get a pick next time i'm there, oh and it's got a roof rack fitted, another one for VND.

Hi all.
Last week i met a little old man and his wife at the motor factors.He was driving a lovely
340 1.4 limited edition in smoke silver.I told him he had a cracker motor.He then told me
about how another driver run into his car and smashed the pasanger door,front wing and its trim.
He then said he could not put it through his insurance as the would only scap it .He told me he bought the car when it was 3 years old and he has been driving it for the past 16 years.I asked him if he was on V3M but he did not
have a computer.He said he was 72 years old and nearly deaf.He said he could not find another door anywhere.
A new wing would be about £90 from volvo and he did not have much money.I then did my good deed of the
decade and gave him my GLT pasanger door,wing and side trim.He turned up at my door a few days latter
as happy as a pig in shite with the car looking like new.

Spotted again saturday, metallic red D reg 1.7 340 3 door (reg no. D340 ---)!! Seen at local car dealers. Owners were looking at new(ish) cars Found them and handed them a couple of VNDs V3M cards. First ones I've managed to give out! I asked if they were getting rid of the 340. I think they said their grandson was having it, so lets hope he joins the forum! Car looked in good shape. Didn't stay too long as the salesmen were prowling around like wolves giving me "don't you dare talk them into keeping their old car" looks

Yeah it's possibly one of my favourite threads in the whole of the internets. That reminds me! There's a green triumph dolomite I've been passing since I was a lad. Currently it's half way reclaimed by nature but the body looks absolutely solid on top. I might have to enquire.
