Are you still up for meeting in the Donny area?
Cheers
Kris

Yep, still going sunday so do you want to come over this way and go up the A19?
pyro wrote:anyone running a cb in their car? ill be on channel 15...
id like to join a convoy up the a19 to york but ive a few things i need to to enroute! ie a mothers day errand!
Ben
What time are you setting off Ben? Me and Kris could meet you on route. No CB I'm afraid, we'll have to use hand signals

Have you got a mobile number, to arrange meeting location?
If we are meeting at around 10am I'd need to set off from Doncaster at 9ish (traffic can be a pain going into York)
Anyone else coming up from the South want to meet at Donny around 9ish for a break and the convoy for the last 35miles to York ? I know it's early if your coming from a long way down south but it's pretty much on route if you are coming up the M1 or A1 and aiming to be there at 10am

I'll be M1 > M18 > A1ing it, I'll probably be running late so I'll do the journey in one slog... if you see a dirty blue S70 it'll be me

We can either all meet up on the road somewhere or meet at mine. I'm on the north east side of Doncaster so it's not really on route, but Donny's not that big. I'm about only about 3 miles from the town centre (6 miles for A1 junction 36) or we could meet at a service station (really just a petrol station) on the A1 just North of Donny where the A1(M) changes to the A1. Thats easy to find and probably best for Chris C and Speedy who are coming far enough already! It's easy for Kris too, coming up the M18 then A1 from Sheffield? We can then easily get over to the A19, 2.5miles from the next junction up without having to go through Donny. Just need to arrange where we meet up with Pyro on the A19.
EDIT yes it's going to be a clear run up at that time

. If you all early enough then come over here for a break if you like and have time/petrol. What time are you setting off Chris and Speedy? It used to take me over 5-6 hours 20 years ago form Swanage (but that was at 5pm on a friday night

)

Yeah that sounds good, I'm not sure about the reliability of our timing though, especially as we're going via b'ham. It might just be a case of if we're not there at that time go on without us

Didn't know you were going via B.ham! It is a bit of a long shot to hit 9am from that distance anyway

Google says bang on 5 hours to york but that's usually an over estimate. The roads will be clear up to about 9 so hopefully it should take us an even shorter amount of time

I'll probably be there around 1am. Got to wait around to pick up the new doors for my 164 from Widnes.
cheers

Ok, we'll meet there, saves you coming out of your way further east than you need too. Just got to see where Ben wants to meet, I assume somewhere near Selby i think. If the others coming north are not for off around 9 we can always hang on a bit for them.
