Those weird washer clip things

Changing my door handle and lost the two I had in the door.
There's a metal piece that is bent over at 90 degrees at each end that connects the handle lever to the door lock mechanism inside the door. I'm after the half washer, half clip thing that basically holds the metal connector onto the handle opening lever at the back. It's pretty fiddly do I hope you know what I'm on about. I'd take a picture if I hadn't have lost them
As many as you can spare please.

Stop dropping them in the door!
Star lock washers*? Something like
THIS?
Go to a fastener place and you could buy hundreds of them....
*or whatever they're called. They are push on fasteners in the external fixing washers sort of family.

Nein! It looks a bit like a washer at one end, then it extends in one direction and has a 90 degree clip on it. Bah! I'm rubbish at explaining things so here's a crappy paint drawing:
If I'm honest the handle seems to open and close the door fine right now but I'm pretty sure the connecting rod will ping out again

Or get yourself down to your local pound shop and buy a telescopic magnet
I had mine before i dropped my washer things you are talking about but they are so handy whenver you drop a washer or a screw just about anywhere. Which with my butter fingers i seem to manage quite a lot.
