B14 engine mounts in stock
I don't want to compete with Dai but I've managed to secure a lot of the original black (rubber) engine mounts for the B14 (3100518).
These can be used for B14 engined cars upto chassisnr 910265 (jan-feb 1984).
They cost 15euro each excl postage.

Re: B14 engine mounts in stock
Not competing at all. These are ideal for restorations etc where the car is to be kept original.
Are the mounts new old stock or remanufactured?
Would these mounts be for the rear mounting? If so I would be intereded in one as a patern for producing poly ones.

I am looking at the rear ones but I know some people are looking at the rear ones as well.
At the moment I am looking at what to produce next and choice is too great; hoses, cvt bits, ...
Could you send me a list of all the bits you carry?

Re: B14 engine mounts in stock
I will be making pretty much everything that is made of rubber.
Next few things on the list are drive shaft and steering gaitors. I will also be going the torque arm bushes and spring shackle bushes are almost done now.
I need samples for the rear engine mounts and I'm also looking at strut tops in rubber to see if I can sort those out also. If someone beats me to the strut tops I won't mind.
Has anyone as yet sorted the King lead for the 360 coil?
What CVT parts are a problem?

Bosch 0 986 356 890

fits my Renix-equipped 360 perfectly. I've got more of a problem finding one which fits my points-equipped non-Renix 343.
Cheers

Re: B14 engine mounts in stock
Are these the "small" type which are fitted completely vertically (whereas the later ones are larger, and I think at a slight angle...?)?
If so, I need a pair for my 1980 345
cheers
James

Re: B14 engine mounts in stock
What about making the window scraper rubbers? If you made 3 door ones, these can be cut down to fit the 4 doors and the quarter window cars. I bought the last pair from volvo years ago and they made a world of difference to my car.

I still have 4 brand new 3dr window scrapers sat in my room on the list of things to be fitted. They won't be sold, but I can get dimensions etc.

Re: B14 engine mounts in stock
They are the small ones fitted in 1980.
They were actually used on all B14 up to Jan-Feb 1984.
Foggy, you know where to find me if you need them.

Re: B14 engine mounts in stock
I have those as well on my list but the problem with these is finding a maufacturer who is still able t extrude the profile while at the same time adding the 'fluffy bit'.340GLT wrote:What about making the window scraper rubbers? So far I have been to 10 so-called 'specialist' companies here on the continent who guaranteed me on the phone that they could do it but who all have retracted their expertise once they saw the NOS original.
My idea was actually to have 1 size made so that these could be cut to size for the smaller versions.
I am also looking for a company who can make the door/tailgate/bonnet seals for me. There are plenty of seals available, all too large or too small but exactly identical to my NOS samples.....
Believe me, the moment I succeed you will know about it on this forum!
