Howdy folks,

I've been contacted by a chap called Gary who is based in Scotland (in the Glasgow area, if memory serves correctly), who has this 1984 (mk2) 360 GLEi for sale. It has short tax and test (perhaps best to assume none...or just enough to get you home if you're quick!). I don't remember too many detail off the top of my head, but the pictures speak for themselves. I believe it's done a few miles, but it looks in reasonable shape, given its age. I believe he's asking £250 or so, which seems pretty reasonable given the rarity value.

Let me know if you'd like putting in touch with Gary.

It's very nice! £250 has to be a bargain for a mk2

You can't argue for £250. It's a bit scruffy in places, but appears on the face of it to be solid where it counts.

The downside (and the reason it hasn't yet sold, I presume) is the location and lack of MOT. Of course it'd be ideal for the right person. Gary is keen to see that it doesn't get scrapped.

Just thought it might be worth mentioning I've been to view this vehicle and tbh 250 is a bit much for it the shell is completely rotten, there's not a panel on it worth using and it's done 150k tried to talk him down on price so could for spares but wasn't having it at all.

Thanks for the update Gordon. What's up with the shell? Beyond what you can obviously seen in the pics (bits and bobs on doors, plus the front wings), I'm guessing usual places underneath - sills, mainly? It doesn't look too bad for its age in the pics, but I don't know how old those are, etc.

Gary is quite insistent that someone needs to take this on as a restoration project...but the scene is small, and it's a big commitment...

cheers

Basically exterior there isnt a paner thats not dented or scraped, underneath the chassis legs have a couple of holes in them about 70mm long and could fit my hands through the holes at the bulkhead and behind both headlights. I told him there really isnt much chance anyone will fix it as it would be alot of work and as you said theres no demand espeially up here in scotland but he was insistent that someone will restore it lol!

Fair enough...if it has that sort of rot then it's going to need someone who really wants a car like that.

cheers
