yeah was a bit of a dday trip - shefford - milton keynes (train) wigan - chippenham (wilts) bt worth it.
im afraid i fail at buying cars - didnt even check the dipstick when i got it (durp) then when i did it was a bit low on oil - put more in and level didnt change

gonna go check it again in a bit..
the sills could do with welding, but i've got a job coming up so ill get it done professionally - dont fancy crawling around on my arse again. was quoted 460 quid at a volvo dealer to get my other 340 through an MOT( both sills, inner wings + front and rear valences (i?) so it shouldnt be more than 300 for the sills i hope
things to do, hopefully this week,
- swap the gearboxes round (4 speeds suck HARD!)
- finish making the flange for the bike can as the back box has completely disintegrated
then hopefully make sure it lasts till june!
oh and very tempted to fully sound proof it to enhance the subwoofers (maybe twin 10s) and the 6x9s im gonna put in as this is going to be a comfort car
its already been lowered 3" believe it or not! so much more comfortable than the other one mind

Dude don't go to official dealerships. Drive round to a few back street places as well as some independent large garages and you'll probably halve that £460

Nice one!
I'd try fit the DIY welding in around your job, that quote is big money (well is for me lol). The welding you did on the sill of your other one was pretty good

yeah i was trying to find " backstreet" welding shops but was unsuccesful - lack of yellow pages i guess. and local knowledge. if anyone knows of a place near chippenham (junction 17 m4) let me know please.
thanks nimmiz, i would do the welding myself but i am not crawling around on the floor again with splatter going down my neck - someone else can have the pleasure of doing that

and if its under 300 quid im more than happy to pay tbh
