First registered 1 August 1979. Dark blue with blue interior (the former scruffy but solid, the latter like new!) This car was rescued from a barn in Yorkshire last year, and following an MOT, has seen only light use (we have two other cars - 940 and 340). Less than 23,000 miles from new and completely original. It all seems to work OK, including the transmission. Sadly, due to changes at work I dont have the time or space for this splndid car. Car located in Sheffield. The number plate has been valued at £300+, so offers should reflect this. I have photos, so let me know if you'd like to see them. Call me (Tim) on 07711 337529 or 0114 265 8544, or email

I'm afraid these kind of number plates rarely enhance the value of the car

A mate was trying to charge £150 extra on a 740 with a plate valued at £300, but it didn't help. The plate was something like B33 RWD
5Lab - what car do you have, and where are you located - you're in the UK, right? A few of us (from
www.turbobricks.com - but you can some to play even if you are turbo-less) are trying to drum up as much interest as we can in getting the 'younger' (even at heart) Volvo enthusiasts together....see the vid I'm about to post in the main forum - that was of our first meet. We've got a trip to Santa Pod, trackdays, and rolling road sessions planned.
cheers

I really need the space now, so I'm open to offers on this car - particularly from anyone who can offer it a good home!

Have you tried selling it through the VOC? This car is rare enough that its worth finding the right owner who will look after it! If I had a barn to put it in...

Those of you that no me, would tell you that i would definetly take this car of your hands if,...
a) I had the room

And out of interest what is the number plate that is worth £300?

OEC 67 V
Number plate valuations do seem to be rather subjective, though.
