The cramlington one looks MINT to me, I'd be very surprised if anyone's gone to the trouble of clocking it, if it's a one owner car there should be some old MOTs lying around.
Also I think Laura is going to want rid of your old 340 in September, might be worth bearing in mind? If this local one's no good buy my 205 as a cheap stopgap??

One step ahead of you man. I really really like that pug.
Got a few people hunting shafts right now.
But I need something rolling within a week really.
Id preffer this 340 really, but i'll have the pug if i cant find anything else.
God, that sounds terrible doesnt it. What a boost for your self esteem.
You are my last resort. lolz

The pug drives fine, it's just noisy on lock. If you're desperate I could deliver it tuesday. Shaft is a pretty easy job in the street, can do that in an hour or so. Might need some gearbox oil seals, I'll get them from the pug stealership though. They just push into the box while the shafts are out.

cool man.
Any idea if the shafts are generic? or model specific?
As im apperently related to a lad with 8 gtis, and a pile of spares as big as the three moons of Endor.
Im slightly worried that this 340 thread is turning into a 205 thread....................

Any shafts from a 954cc/1.1/1.3/1.4/XS/GT/rallye/junior will fit, possibly several 106 and AX ones too.

Balls. I have an apparently unlimited supply of 1.9 and diesel shafts.
Anyway, this 340 will hopefully make all of these considerations irelivent.

Very probably me, on instalments depending on how much the 340 goes for.
