The model is Hitachi 42 PD4200.
As may be clear from the price, it is not perfect. It is displaying numerous dark vertical lines in two areas. See pics (ignore date stamp):


These aren't dead pixels, as sometimes they disappear altogether. And when they are present, you forget about them after a while.
The TV has a great picture, very sharp and I haven't noticed any motion blur when watching external sources.
A major giveaway to it's age is the fact that it has a seperate 'media/control box'. Basically you connect the screen to this and all of your cables go to the box.
Here's an idea of the size of the screen (case) and media box when next to a 32" LCD.

Comes with all instructions and manuals, original receipt, remote and cables. One manual even has wiring schematics if you fancy trying to fix it. I would leave it as it is TBH. Well I have done, the lines have been coming and going for around 2 years now and it still sees a lot of movie and game action without any bother.
No speakers included. I was running this through an amp.
