7.5mm deflection on the longest run of the belt, or 90 degree twist using thumb and finger with moderate pressure.

Running sweet as a nut now, much more drivable, think the timing had been a bit out all along.

360? There is no tension setting, it is performed automatically by the tensioner. You have to push the tension up and lock it while working on the belt, then simply release it to tension the belt under the spring pressure, then lock the tensioner in place with the bolt. Check it again after a few days (just unlock and re-lock the bolt).

had it too tight at first, got out stephescope and heard whining from the NEW idler, set it to near stated tension, very smooth almost silent running, 100 miles and A.O.K.
