For sale mk2 340 and 360

Post by theo2468 »

Insurance and petrol has got out of hand forcing me to sell both my 300's!
Even footman James are offering me 2300, ridiculous.
So I'm open to offers on both, they will both be sitting on standard steels.
Could work out some deal if you buy both.
Swaps are welcom or px, looking for something like a Clio or 206 something abit better on fuel than these guzzlers.
Can deliver if wanted.
Want any more details pm me or leave a post on here.
Cheers theo

Sorry to hear that. Petrol has got stupid recently, have you though about keeping one while you drive something else till you get older and insurance calms down a bit and you build up no claims discount?

Have you got quotes that show insurance cheaper for either of these than a 1.4 300? Plus I'd also doubt the mpg saving, my 1.4 340 was always about 3 mpg higher than my housemates 1.4 clio, 206's are modern and heavy so never will be good with the mpg's.

EDIT: As a bit of a hint, my 1.4 auto Corsa is group 11 rather than a 1.4 340's group 6. Real world insurance makes it about about 4 times the price to insure, currently limited mileage TPFT on the corsa is 25% dearer than my unlimited road mileage, unlimited competition mileage, unlimited mods fully comp rebuild value policy on my F7R'd 340. And I'm not exactly young anymore.

EDIT AGAIN: Not so much of an issue on the clio, but depreciation on a 206 too ;)

I was going to say the same. I struggled to get anywhere under 2000 for a corsa, fiesta etc, where a 1.4 RWD volvo 340 was half that. i was never going to buy a corsa anyway, but it was good to find out. I guess it all depends on where you are located, garaged etc, but the insurance for these 300s is silly cheap compared to anything else. I feel your pain dude. Petrol prices are freaking stupid.

Do you own a 1.4? I also don't think you'd get much better fuel consumption too.

Just trying not to loose you to the chav mobiles! :(

Eeh ya little tinker.

That be a good one.

Not as funny as a Corsa auto being grp 11 but still good
