at last i have a new job so work on the volvo can start again only problem is im having trouble with the front shocks. I can not get them out no matter what i try. Ive been told they might be welded in if so what options does that leave me. I really need to sort this out before i do anything else. Would anyone be willing to lend me there time and help me do it as my friends and family refuse to help for some reason
Thanks Coop

They won't be welded in unless a previous owner decided to do something drastic.
Are they actually off the car? If they are then I presume you are trying to get them out the radius arm. This can be tough as they are exposed to the elements from water from the wheels. It takes a lot of lubrication, a good vice, heat and a good hammer to get it off.
It will eventually come off but can take some time.

Its not clear what the problem is. What part cannot you not get off? The big shock retaining bolt, or just the shock will not come out now that you have removed everything?
I have a special technique for removing the big shock bolt, just bolt the strut back into the wheel, put the wheel face down and stand on it, then remove the nut with plumbers shifters.
If the shock just will not come out, it may just be held in with oil suction, wobble it about and pull slowly.
