Undo the many bolts and it will slide out.
Wear eye protection though, and be prepared for swearing.
Many long,rusty, bolts and iirc access gets a bit tight.

Use 6 sided sockets if you can, you want to break the rust without rounding them.

Agreed, but it still wont stop the swearing, especially towing eye side. Easier on a saloon though imo. Although the last one I removed on a car going to scrap I cut through the bolts through the boot floor with an angle grinder

There are 2 long thinish bolts on either side and they do tend to break. Wire brush the threads down as much as possible (small stiff brush and a drill attachment) and of course freeing oil.

Undo the 4 bolts holding the brackets to the carrier IMO. I have my car stripped pretty bare - bar those damn bracket bolts that go through the chassis!
