as you all know, 1976 was the year the first 343 saw it's light and in 2011, that's 35 years ago!
for the Dutch folks it a ultra-special year as the dutch Volvo300Club founded in 2001 exists 10 years

me and the V3C crew celebrated these facts last weekend with a trip to the Louwman Museum followed by a nice tour through my birth region; the Green-Heart landscape and the day ended with a nice dinner.

and did you see how high the water level is on the right side of the picture?

During the rally we had frequent occasions where we would drive up a slope just to find a waterway filled to the top, resulting in water levels sometimes multiple meters higher than the surrounding areas
Last time we had a rally in this area the route was a bit more to the south-west, where all the flower bulbs are grown.

We're planning to have our second re-launched "national" event this autumn. We're aware that it's the 35th anniversary of the launch of the series, but I don't know if we have anything particularly special planned. Does anyone have any ideas?

Do you know what sort of front spoiler the silver 343 has fitted? It looks a bit like the R-Sport (etc) type, but doesn't look quite the right shape either...maybe just because it's painted black?

I'm not aware of any kind of decent Volvo museum/factory in the UK? A convoy to europe might be good but might be beyond most of our wallets...
