Now, as much as I like 300s, I'm not sure I'd like to drive one of those for a 10-12 hour taxi shift. From what I've heard, the 1.6 diesel engine gives a whole new meaning to the word slow...

Probably pretty good in the snow. Slow, but very fuel efficient

Having ran 300s in the snow, on terrible summer tyres, I cant think of a better slider to run as a nordic taxi.

Only if it's wearing a new style number plate, VW badge and has coilovers that cost less than a 20 mile return train ticket.
