Nice. 340pw

Good ones save money long term. I wouldn't buy it off this seller as he's a BIT OF A BARRY SCOTT

Hmmmm. things are getting a bit silly. Very nice car however. Even if it's as good as it looks, pushing near £1000 would still be good going, asking 2 is trying it on.

Are the Americans trying that new electromagnetic heat ray that disables modern-fangled cars or something? Only reason to pay 2 grand for it, when nothing else moves

Are we seeing a real lift in popular appeal of the 300 lately? or is it just band-wagoning on the back of retro cars mag?

Neither, we are seeing a drying up of supply.

I think it's both in terms of the "traders" have started noticing it. There's 100s of traders that trawl though classic car mags to decide how much they can overprice a car at. Suddenly 300 series is recognised as a classic and are valued so.

It's officially stepped over the threshold and is now a classic. That's it, wave goodbye to cheap 300s :P

Yup. Hard to buy these days. As I'm finding out.
Might have to break my own 600£ record.

Hi vnd, what kind of 300 are you looking for and where are you based? I have heard of a one owner 5 door 340 auto come up for sale. Its being sold by a dealer who is based both in manchester and preston. He wants £600 for it. I can forward you his number if you're interested?

Hi all.
2 grand for a DL? Thats way to much. Its only on standard wheels
and dosn't seem to hve any extras. It does however seem to have been
well cared for and is probably in good machanical nick.
Cheers Mark.

Im up in the far North. The land that 300 sales forgot!

Ive got an open mind on Model/year/spec/drivetrain etc.

600 is a bit heavy for me. And Id personally never buy anything from a dealer.
Ive had a few 300s (all good examples) and have paid near £300 for most of them. Though I have paid £600 once. For a 360 GLE with a FSH and very low miles.

Bit sad that the days of cheap 300s seems to have gone, and with limited funding, and a northern location, Im just going to have to wait it out.
