used uprated front springs

I have 2 sets of used front front springs. Both are rusty but other wise good.
Set one is a pair of full height 50% stiffer rally springs. These could be used to firm up a road car with original dampers, on a rally car as originaly intended or cut down would work for lowering and be stiff enough £20 plus postage
Set two is extream track springs 350lbs that is nearly 4 X stiffer than original and are 70mm lowered. Would be ideal for a heavy engine conversion or perhaps even a 360 drift car. These springs will not work with original dampers and will need a set of my front adjustables to control them. Probably no use on a 340 so 360's only I think. £20 plus postage

I might be interested in the 50% uprated set, are they for 360? GLT or GLE ride height? Could they be brought up to a good standard with effort?

They could be used on either 340 or 360. There is no coating left on them at all and would need sandblasting to clean them up. They are normal ride height not GLT lowering as on a rally car you want the car to sit as high a possible within reason. THe new springs fitted to that car are now +25mm and a little stiffer again.

I'd be interested in the 50% springs too but I'd rather they'd go to someone who isn't going to chop them (as I am).

I take it you have fillings and don't want the ultra stiff 350lbs ones shaking them out!
Mark you do have second dibs on the 50% stiffer ones.

Cleaning up is not a problem provided they are not weakened or deeply pitted, I would be chopping them to GLT height. If thats going to be not a problem I'm in.

I will wire brush the end of one a little and see how it comes back. I'll get a pic so you can see for yourself the condition.

Had a go at cleaning the end of one up. A wire brush does not remove all the rust due to light pitting. Sand blasting would clean them up, if they had been powder coated in the start they would have been ok.
If you want perfect springs new ones are the answer.
Photos make the cleaned area look nice and shiney even though it is not.

They don't need to be perfect just don't want them to break. Likely I will electrolise them, wire brush, sand blast then resin+chassis black.
If the pitting is light, sounds ok. pm'd
