any interest in 'blue line' interior???

Hi,

today I was at a breakers' yard with Bodejodel (he bought a -almost good as new- leather interior to replace his front seats)
and there I saw a Volvo 340 GL 'Blue Line'

it's interior is beautiful! nice cloth (deep black) with blue ribbons between the center and the sides of the chairs. perhaps you saw it in a leaflet ? (I have no pics atm)

I think it would be a shame if that went into the bin, so I asked for the price :-) the entire interior will be around 100 euros.

as I only have pre-1980 volvo's, its not thát interesting for me (better ways to spend a 100, then just to put in in the attic) so perhaps it's interesting for one of you?????

Greetings Wouter

Hi Wouter ,dont need the interior but did it have an econometer in the dash or an auxillary gauge panel in the console if so grab them for me and Jeroen can post them to me with the snowcap

the auxillary gauge panel would most certainly fit in my shed.

but sorry, haven't seen it. the dash even had a clock, no rev.counter.

but for the interior ????

im still searching for pics, but it seems to be pretty rare :)

Did it had an original Volvo radio that can fit in to a 343 ?

reddog, I understand you are looking for one?

over here in the Netherlands, there are still some old radio's of the type you are looking for. atm I'm not sure if i have one to spare... but I'll look into it.

I guess the reason it dosn't have a revcounter is because its a vario

could be true. haven't seen much varios with rev.counter (its a nice view,though..revs constant and speed rising)

I want back to the yard today. The guy recognized me, took something off the price and so I took it with me.

The car had been equipped with a volvo sound system. there also were rear speakers. the grilles from these fit nicely between a pair of interior panels ;-)

also nicked the blue lines from the bumpers. these come out really easy!

My Vario has the rev counter, though as yet I've not had the car running to see it, but as you say, I'm sure it makes for an interesting sight!
