Master cylinder

Post by Carl »

I have recently found a Volvo 240 master cylinder lurking in the garage. I removed it from a 240 GLT (it had 4 pot front calipers if that makes a difference) with the intention of creating an upgrade for my old 360.

I never got as far fitting it, in fact I dont even know if it will fit, but thought someone on hear might be interested. It looked to be in good nick when I removed it, and IIRC it was from a lowish mileage 240 (<100k miles).

Let me know if you're interested, I dont want much for it, probably a tenner including postage. If not I'll chuck it on ebay later in the week. Can provide photos if needed.

Cheers

Carl

you haven't taken any conservational measures when putting it in the garage?

if not... how long has it been?? more than 1 or 2 years; just throw it away... 9 to 10 it's totally rusted inside.

if you want to save brake cilinders for a longer time, take them apart, clean them, and reassemble with ATE grease.
