hopefully it'll be nice inside too, the insurence on them seems to have plummeted, which is nice....

Sure to be nice inside really - I wouldnt expect any wear on seats. Infact, I don't think I've ever seen any worn interiors other than leather before - they're very hard wearing. Plus its a GL too, so you get plusher trim

i don't know, i'll try and get a photo of a local guys 340, aside from being held together with garden wire the interior looks like its been savaged by several dogs.

Well,I guess that is what actyually happened to the interior, I have never seen a worn one either...

is the price for this one alright does anyone think?

i'd imagine he'd go down to 200 cash in hand as the tax is pretty much up but i'm not sure.

what do seventeen hundreds fetch typically in ok to good condition?

£200 is a fair price for that car I'd say, it looks like a nice example I think. Though you could wait til the end of the auction and get a no-reserve bargain

i'd take a good look in person then offer half of what your willing to pay. remind him that ebay car selling fees are £15, and you've got cash here and now.

it looks reasonable, i was about to bid a quid by my ebay accounts been suspended (rofl)

i noticed some local chub is looking for a car to 'rag rand da d's mate'. the d's being the cinema car park where the smell of nova's and 205's well into the red is pungent accross town between 7 and 2 at night.

the car has been for sale for sometime tho only advertised locally. and locally for where it is means it might get one person driving past per day.

do spoilers come off cleanly? can't stand them.......

As Vart said earlier in this thread about the Vacuum Gauge, I wondered myself, however the picture of the dials could have been before it was installed, or they've mounted an after market or different gauge elsewhere.

Vart, It looks like a nice car, and I mean, for £280 what else can you get? It looks like he's open to reasonable offers, a good condtion 1.7 with some extras too, a decent amount of MOT too (Feb I think) can't be bad, providing the rust can be prevented or stopped, the car is good value for money really.

Just spotted the next posts in between me writing and posting this, agree with all said! Spoilers leave holes, so probably not a good idea to remove, I actually think 300's without them look odd now and was tempted to put one on my Vario, but I may keep it as near to original as I can.

i'm guessing the vacuum gauge might be mouted in the tape retainer hole but i'll report back when i know, hopefully wednesday.

Do 300's get stopped by the law with spoilers?

Yeah, I thought it may have been placed in the tape holder spot in the centre console, as I nearly used a 200 series one until I managed to find a genuine Volvo econ gauge.

Only ever been stopped once by the law in the 360 hatch with spoiler! That was a routine stop too, it was 3 am in the morning and they were just checking what I was doing out and about, as there had been some break ins in the area. THe 300 spoiler is black and subtle to be honest, the whole car doesn't shout boy racer, they're invisible to thieves and I don't think the Police take too much notice, unless it's obviously being driven enthusiastically.
