(Betteg photo's tomorrow) this thing is an immaculate example of a loved 360. Previous owner literally drove thing the length of the country when they moved from Christchurch 4 years ago. It roll's amazingly no issues with bearings, steering is remarkably light, its just stunningly beautiful. Got a box of spares. Its a shame i have to pull anything apart to fix the cambelt. Will keep updating as i go. I think the sunroof still works too!
Anyway, keep watching.
lets me know just how far away my old girl really is
So upon closer inspection its not perfect. Paint isn't the best, need to replace rear hatch strut's and some door seals and sew up the front drivers bolster but otherwise its beautiful. I'll be slowly doing all those things and getting it legal again.
Right thanks to one pettaw's you tube video (well about 2 minutes of the re fitting your cambelt one) the old girl's back together and running. I don't know who did it the hard way though, him with his limited space or me taking t front of the car apart to see what i was doing. never the less thanks. Anyway put her all back together and am driving it now. the whole job cost me $36 nz. about twenty pound. So basically gonna they the little bits up then probably keep her.
Right so today started pretty shit. everything that could go wrong or annoy me, did. then at 11am 2 hour's after i dropped the red 360 off for its wof check, get a phone call. "Cars done now" so went to pick it up. FLEW THROUGH THE WOF!!! Surprise surprise I'm f-ing stunned.
the inspector used to work on them in the UK and said its one of the tidyer ones he's seen.
Am quite happy with my little car. cost me $400, cam belt was 35 wof check 45 so all up its a $470 car
Yea pretty much. i mean they struggle to sell for a grand. for a manual rwd its peanuts. I just need to get it rego then I'll have a tidy legal 360 for $550. right bargain.
As the very short saga comes to an end I'll be sad to see the car go but on to bigger and faster things maybe (mitsi gto manual 4WD 3L twin turbo V6) i am content in the fact she'll go to a first car buyer with an automotive family (and at 2.5 times the cost it owes me) so she'll be looked after as it has been.
the only issues with this car is the cam belt and the steering bushing
