I've just got round to fixing the non working fuel guage on the green 360. (only taken 5 years! ).
I'll start a thread about this car soon, I'll post stuff on there istead of going into detail here about what I've found.
Needless to say, it needs a complete replacement sender (which luckily I have from Foggy's 1984 GLS which I stripped a while ago). It's not a problem as that one works fine and I've found the correct way to wire it, but here is the question:
Why are there 3 contacts on the 1984 sender and only 2 on the 1983?
Thanks for that, I've now found a thread from a while ago where you explain the two types. The one in the 1984 car must have been changed fro a later type at some point in it's life. It works fin in my car, just connect the earth and float sensor and the dashboard electrics deal with the low level warning light.
