Does anyone know of a supplier for said black textured tape used on 360s mainly. I need to use a 340 door in a 360. Plus it would be better to remove for respray.

You can remove the black tape after you remove the window trim. Gently start at one corner and work your way to another corner. Try not to stretch or deform it, makes it harder to glue it back on.

To glue it back I have used a spraycan with glue (normale used when doing interior parts). Spray both surfaces, let it dry just a little then heat the tape with a hairdryer so it's easier to work with. And do your best to get it to sit evenly with the other door.

Well that might help for the respray, but it will not create extra material for the 340 door.

I'll be surprised if this comes off in one piece - when I've attempted to remove it before it seemed very brittle and just kept coming off in chunks.

I'd be talking to any local signage/vinyl suppliers to get something similar to replace it with, perhaps it's possible to measure them out/make templates with them on the car?

Make templates on the car and talk to our local friendly chap who has just bought a vinyl cutter maybe? I'd join you for a set if that could be worked out and might be something if we were careful with the vinyl selection that BBB and Dai were interested in carrying?

I have done both rear doors. First removed the black tape, then glued it back on to the new painted door. Second one went much better than the first one.

FYI I think I have a suitable replacement. Its called textured matte black vinyl wrap on ebay. £15 for 1x1.5m. Havn't used it yet but it looks spot on.

Looks good! Had issues finding this sort of stuff on ebay around 10 years ago. Good thing with vinyl wraps taking off there seems to be much more available to the public :)
