rear disk conversion brackets, anti tramp adaptors

HI all,
I have been working on a rear brake set up for my turbo, using sierra vented rear calipers with a handbrake set up from a 340.
Ive had some rather hefty 5mm steel brackets cut for the calipers.
Ive also been working on brackets to modify the anti tramp bars. So an escort mk2 anti tramp kit can be used. these will be avaialable in 3mm steel, and will require minor modification, due to the angle of the Volvo chassis rails.

Pair of rear caliper mounts (for vented disks, however i dont see any reason why solids would not work with these) 30quid plus p-p
PLEASE READ:
the rear caliper brackets require cutting and welding to space the caliper back, if using the sierra disks. if you are using other disks, or solid calipers, I will supply the lazer cut brackets only and you will have to modify them for your needs. the price for the brackets alone is £20 a pair.

Im offering these on a first come first serve basis, and only looking to recoup my costs from manufacturing. i have two pairs available uncut, of the rear brackets.

Volvo 340/360 frame brackets to allow twin rear anti tramp bar set up.
30quid plus p-p
Both these parts are fit and forget, the anti tramp adaptors require welding to the shell.
The aftermarket parts for these cars is somewhat limited, so im trying my best to manufacture parts i cant find. More to follow, as ihave my fingers in many pies....

Pm me for more details.

I am trying to be reasonable with my prices, as stated above im not in this for profit, just looking to recoup the manufacturing costs. anyone who has had to spend hours designing/measuring/and finding a decent lazer cutter, will know what I mean.

Thanks
Madseb

The rear disk brackets, are just that two brackets (one per side)

the anti tramp brakets, are just that, two brackets that mount to the body, and allow you to utilise an escort kit (available from ebay or the like) the escort kit is not only a larger diameter, but also more widely available regarding spares such as replacement bushes etc.
link to kit:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Escort-Mk1-Mk ... 520wt_1203

you will need to use your own bearing carriers, and purchase disks/calipers etc for the rest of the kit. the brackets bolt on the disk side, and mount to the four bolts that hold the carrier on.

i could offer this as a whole package, but sierrra vented calipers are fetching upwards of £200 a pair, and the disks are also rather pricey, so this would be a costly kit. they are however available second hand.
There is no reason why the solid disks from a sierra wouldnt work, as in theory the disk and the caliper would be on the same alignment.

to build my kit for my car, ive had to have a minimum run made, so im selling of the extra parts.
hope this helps to clarify.

What benefits can users of such modifications expect? Is this for 340 only?

would only Sierra callipers and discs work? they aren't very common where I am. would like laser or Telstar discs and rotors work?

Laser and Telstar aren't sold here so would be best to say the Ford Laser here is a Mazda 323 and the Telstar is a Mazda 626

yea that's pretty apt comparison. basically what is the same as the sierra? don't want to buy a pair to find I just can't get callipers and rotors for it.

Rear brake conversion questions answered:
The rear diak brakes will offer ease of maintainance, improved braking.
I drive my car hard. So i benefit from the cooling of disks over drums.
These however will not work with 13" wheels. I run 15s and i believe the lowest you will be able to use is 14"

In regards to other disk and caliper combos, i really couldnt comment. I designed these for a caliper i had handy.
Im sure a quick google, with part numbers would help clarify this.

These can be used with 360s, however i use 340 handbrake cables as the two are different. 360s handbrake cables will work if ahortebed and re crimped.

Or you can just replace the cables with 340 ones

could you get me the part numbers you have handy so I can try track other options down please? I run 16s so clearance is no issue.

the sierra rear disks are the vented type. from the sierra cosworth. I wouldn't have a part number sorry.
I did manage to find some information on caliper rebuilding on old skool ford, so maybe you could try there.

I must stress, at this present time I only have two pairs of the caliper brackets available.
