Stripping a 480 Turbo Auto

Hi everyone. Found this forum about 48 hours ago after stumbling across a post on Pistonheads about the humble Volvo 340 becoming very popular as a drift car.
Since then I mentioned the word Volvo to one mate, who said he thought another mate had some sort of Volvo turbo thing.
Long story short I'm picking up a low mileage Volvo 480 turbo tomorrow and will be taking it apart this weekend to get the parts I need to start building it into a 340 which I hope to purchase fairly soon.
Obvious issue is that it's an auto so I have a few questions.
1. What exactly do I need to remove from the 480 to be able to swap the engine over to a 340?
2. What other parts do I need to acquire from a manual car to make up for this being an auto?
3. What are the high value/rare/sought after items that I should keep from the 480 to sell on? I don't want it sitting on my driveway for longer than a few days and I'm not having people turning up with 20p for a heater switch! As long as I can make back what I spend on it I'll be happy and that can go towards getting a 340

The 480 is quite rare, probably more rare than 300 series. This is a 300 forum so not so many experts on 480s. Most 300 transplants come from Renaults (340) or 200/700/900 series volvos (360).
I think the 480 should fit straight in to a 340 with an extra pilot bearing possibly to link into the longer clutch shaft. I guess you will need a sump from a 1.7 340. Make sure the engine gearbox and diff mounts are in good condition. You may need to do something clever with injection system as the 340 fuel tank is not designed with a lift pump or in-tank pump.
The 480 engine guages are useful for the 340.

Someone was asking me about rear light clusters a few months back. They weren't desperate, just looking for a spare set, so keep them aside.

It is a shame to scrap a good 480 as these are getting rare quickly.
But what:
-Is the interior like, especially the front passenger seat?
-Are the pop-ups like?

The pop ups and the rear light clusters are 2 things I've found to be sought after. I'm picking up the car tonight so I'll have a look at those and the interior and get back to you both.

Will I also need to use the ECU and flywheel from a manual 1.7 turbo?

You will need the pilot bearing (all 400 engines would) and yes, you need the flywheel. Flywheel is specific to the 4x0 turbo (60-2 trigger pattern vs 22-2-22-2) and even of the turbos there are two types for the two clutch sizes. With a separate trigger wheel you could widen your search but I'd want to go for the engineered solution.
I'm not a 400 expert, but last time I looked the key tricky parts to get were seatbelt arms, any dash that isn't cracked somewhere, non faded rear lights, roller parcel shelves and clips etc.

Ok thanks but which car should I get the pilot bearing and flywheel from? Is it the 440/480 manual? I've been trying for the past couple of days to get onto the 480 forum but I've had no joy.

The pilot should probably be from a rwd car, eg a 1.7 340, usually these are fairly standard things.
The flywheel needs to be from a manual car with the same ignition system, or you can use any manual flywheel from same series of engine if you make a triggerwheel for the ignition system you have.
It might be possible to bodge a less engineered solution using a renix ignition system from a 340 or perhaps a bosch from a 940 turbo. There are various maps available for 300s and 940 is a little programmable.
