Anyone know where I can get the paper gasket that goes between the gearbox and diff?
It's for a 5 speed.
Or do I need to make one?

Macs kit is for the diff cover not the diff-gearbox one.

Have you tried Volvo? This might be the only part that isn't NLA. Get the pn first.

Fair enough, will get some gasket paper and make one.
I've used an old bosch parts box before though!
It's not urgent, but theres a bit of oil leaking out and I'm unsure if this is leading to a noise that sounds like an angry turkey sometimes when in 2nd + 3rd gear.

It may not be a problem in the 5 speed but the 4 speed is very dependant on the gearbox gasket thickness, only the exact material spec will do. Anything else will need the compressed thickness calculated and measured for shim adjustment as in Haynes but more complex. It controls the bearing preload.
